Seascape CQ
Hi! today I was able to do lots of sewing and relaxing! I pieced a block that I have been wanting to do for myself for a while. It's going to be a ocean/seascape CQ, very encrusted then I will make into a wall haning probably. The mermaid was done by my cousin, Carla in California and I did the herringbone stitch, 4 rows back to back, then the feather stitch to represent the sea weed. The curving vine with flowers is just above that and I plan on adding lots and lots of beads, pearls and maybe a treasure chest! I will post the progress as I go along. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Awwww, that block is really pretty!
So nice to get to do something for yourself for a change, huh?
Great job!
So cute! Great mermaid.
Nice stitching! Your block is an interesting combination of fabrics that carry out the seascape theme very well. It'll be fun to watch it progress.
